Daniel Griffiths started out as an associate shooter and now uses both first and second shooters in his wedding photography business. In this straight to the point interview, Daniel shares his thoughts and views on the good, bad and ugliness of associate shooters. We cover the topic from different angles; one as the hiring photographer looking to capitalise on the assistance or experience of another photographer to build their business and the other as a photographer looking to learn from someone with more experience or to simply get paid as a hired shooter. Daniels own experience has been up and down when it comes to hiring help and training other photographers which makes what he shares even more valuable. Here’s some of what we cover: What’s on Offer for Premium Members If you’re a premium member, you should have received an email with links to your version of this episode where you can hear lots more content from where we dive deeper into some of the earlier topics plus some new ones that I pushed hard for that include: If you’re on the fence about becoming a premium member, join with the $1 trial today and get access to the FULL interview with Daniel Griffiths, get access to an amazing back catalogue of interviews and ALL future interviews delivered automatically to your phone or tablet. Taking Action - a new project for 2016 The new year is a perfect time to kick off a new project, make changes in life or business you've been contemplating or to simply turn a new leaf. I've decided to commit to the "100 Strangers Project" and have made a start after contemplating the idea for way too long. As good as I thought the project would be for me, my fear of approaching strangers to strike up a conversation and photograph them was holding me back. I actually created two different websites before taking a single photo! I'm committed now though and am already up to stranger number 7 and loving it! You can see my project at http://www.andrewhellmich.com/portfolio/ or http://instagram.com/andrew_hellmich I'd love to hear what you have planned in the way of projects for 2016. Have you started, what's holding you back, are you already into your project? Let me know in the comments below and add a link if you've made a start, I'd love to check out whatever it is you're working on. Stuck for a project? You're probably aware of different projects like the 365 Project, the Thankful Project and a variety of others. A new one I recently heard about is the 2016 Photo Challenge by Mission Pic. Mission Pic is an app where every day everyone gets the same new photo challenge, you take a photo that satisfies that mission and the community votes photos up and down creating leaderboards filled with great photography. You can find more at http://2016photochallenge.com and http://missionpic.com iTunes Reviews and Shout-outs Each week I check for any new iTunes reviews and it's always a buzz to receive these… for a couple ...
